CVWBC PRESENTS CHRISTINA LOZA WITH A WEBINAR: A PATENTS, TRADEMARK, AND COPYRIGHT PRIMER, ON OCTOBER 20
Palm Desert, California. – The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center (CVWBC) is presenting a webinar entitled, “A Patents, Trademark, and Copyright Primer: Cost-Effective, Proactive Strategies for Building and Sustaining Your Business” on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The webinar, facilitated by attorney Christina Loza of Loza & Loza, LLP, is a beginner’s guide to intellectual property.
Facilitator for the workshop is Christina S. Loza, Managing Partner of Loza & Loza, LLP, a mid-size Intellectual Property law boutique located in Southern California. Tina has experience in all areas of intellectual property law including trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, domain name disputes, internet law, eBay dispute resolution, as well as, IP licensing, counseling, and litigation. Tina graduated from Loyola Law School and is admitted to practice before all state and Federal courts in the State of California and is registered patent attorney. Tina teaches Intellectual Property at University of La Verne Law School, is actively involved in NAWBO, sits on the Fairplex Board of Directors, and lives in Southern California with her husband (and “partner”) and they have three boys.

This session will provide intellectual property basics to help determine whether IP protection is necessary, what kind of protection is warranted, and how to enforce patents and trademarks once they are issued.
The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center is a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration. The CVWBC is a grant-funded program which provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring designed for women business owners, but available to all.
The program provides services in English and Spanish to Latina business owners, currently the fastest growing group of women business owners in the country. The Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center’s hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
