Fontana, CA– Are you and your family prepared in the event of an emergency? Register today for a free four-class Emergency Preparedness series presented by Beeyond Prepared at the Fontana Community Senior Center (16710 Ceres Avenue) beginning September 12, 2019. Registration is open to all ages and is accepted at any Fontana community center.
Each session will feature a different topic and is scheduled for:
- September 12, 2019 from 6 – 8:30 pm | “Bee4, During & After: Emergency Preparedness” | Learn how to become better prepared in all settings–home, school, work, and travel. Understand your role during a disaster and how to deal with the aftermath
- October 3, 2019 from 6 – 8:30 pm | “Bee the Help: Until Help Arrives” | Learn how to act in an emergency before professional help arrives including how to talk to a 911 operator, provide comfort to the injured, and how to recognize life threatening situations
- October 24, 2019 from 6 – 8:30 pm | “Bee Informed: Emergency & Earthquake Preparedness” | Disastrous events are traumatizing for any individual including those with a medical, physical, sensory or cognitive disability. Learn how to prepare your household especially where at-risk populations like elderly, special needs and disabled persons reside
- November 14, 2019 from 6 – 8:30 pm | “Bee Aware: Physical and Psychological Injuries” | Trauma, disasters and emergencies can bring fear, anxiety, stress and memories that make it hard to get through a day. Learn how to implement tools to deal with disasters and critical incidents and use self-care and coping skills to deal with these traumas
