Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council Endorses Lee Rogers for Congress
(Simi Valley) – Signaling his growing momentum to be a champion for working families, Dr. Lee Rogers, candidate for Congress in California’s 25th District, announced a major endorsement today from the Los Angeles / Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council.
“We are endorsing Lee Rogers because his sensible approach to government is exactly what we need right now,” said Ron Miller, Executive Secretary of the LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Council.
“When the economy is strong it means there are more construction, remodeling, and renovation jobs for the trades we represent. Lee Rogers will not put the economy in jeopardy with government shutdowns and fiscal cliffs. We know he will do what is right for the Craftsmen and Women of the Building Trades, his constituents, and the American people.”
The LA/OC Building and Construction Trades Council represents many unions that serve craftsmen and women in Southern California, including boilermakers, plumbers, painters, roofers, electrical workers, bricklayers, ironworkers, and sheet metal workers.
In addition to today’s endorsement, Dr. Lee Rogers has been leading the field when it comes to endorsements championing the working families of California’s 25th District.
Dr. Rogers’ list of endorsements include: International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 11; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 40; Ironworkers, Local 433; Laborers, Local 300; Painters and Allied Trades District Council 35; Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, Transportation Workers, Local 105.
Dr. Lee Rogers is a nationally-renowned doctor specializing in podiatry at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, where he co-directs the Amputation Prevention Center. Lee and his wife, Susan, live in Simi Valley where they are raising their two daughters, Emma and Lily.
