Manufacturers’ Council Summit to Feature Smart Factories
Redlands, CA – The Manufacturers Council of the Inland Empire (MCIE) announced that a panel discussion, entitled “Smart Factories – The Next Revolution is Here will be presented at the 8th annual Manufacturers’ Summit.
“Smart Factories” are revolutionizing manufacturing by enabling a 7x increase in overall productivity by 2022,” stated Joe Ray, Director at Klein Educational Systems, and moderator of the panel. “76% of manufacturers either currently have a Smart Factory initiative or are working to define one.”
The panel will include key experts in a detailed discussion of the specific technologies contributing to smart factory initiatives including the Internet of Things (IoT), Zero Down Time Data Analytics, Advanced Robotics, 3D printing, and cloud computing platforms that unify these technologies together. These technologies enable faster smart factory deployments both domestically and globally. The technologies are all unified by cloud platforms and are revolutionizing the global manufacturing landscape today.
“Traditionally, about 600 manufactures and business professionals attend the Manufacturers’ Summits which are open to the public,” stated Molly Burgess, Executive Director of the Manufacturers’ Council (MCIE). “This year is our 8th annual event and we are please to be holding it in Riverside.” The Summit will be held at the Riverside Convention Center on February 14, 2019 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event requires pre-registration. The Summit will also feature speakers from Fender Musical Instruments, and Tesla. Additional breakout sessions will cover exports, apprenticeships and human resource issues.
Manufacturing innovations will be honored at an awards ceremony, and products that are made in the Inland Empire will be displayed.
The Summit also includes a student component which will be held on the day before.
