Nominations Sought For 30 Under 30 Recognition Event
Assembly Member Wilmer Amina Carter is seeking nominations for honorees for her 6th Annual 30 Under 30 Latino/Native American Recognition Event. The September 22, 2012 breakfast, which coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month and Native American Week, will honor 30 of the most accomplished Latinos and Native Americans in the 62nd Assembly District who are between the ages of 20 and 35.
Carter seeks individuals “who are making extraordinary contributions to our community through their talent, skill, imagination and achievements,” she said. “These individuals serve as examples and role models to other young people in our community, and demonstrate what is possible through their passion and dedication.”
Submit nominations by visiting Carter’s website http://asmdc.org/members/a62/rsform or call Carter’s office for a nominating form and/or to confirm the nominee’s eligibility. Nominees must live, work or study in the 62nd District, which includes Rialto, Muscoy, Colton, Bloomington and most of San Bernardino and Fontana.
Applications must be received by Tuesday, August 7. Carter’s Nominating Committee will select the honorees and notify them by Monday, August 13.
Assembly Member Carter represents the 62nd District which includes Fontana, San Bernardino, Rialto, Colton, Bloomington and Rialto.
