Skate Like a King this Fall
Fontana, California, – The Mayor and City Council invite youth ages 6-17 to register for Roller Hockey at Fontana Park beginning August 1st.
The Fontana Youth Hockey program has been fortunate to establish a partnership with the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings. All youth that register in the program will receive a jersey with the L.A. Kings logo, be invited to attend a L.A. Kings game and participate in an on-ice skating experience.
Children with little or no previous hockey experience are also encouraged to register in the program, as the Fontana Park Hockey Rink will be open for kids to skate and practice their hockey skills before the season starts. “This is a great opportunity for youth that want learn the sport,” said Community Services Coordinator Nick Johnson. Those who do not own hockey equipment will also be permitted to use the equipment on site.
Registration for Fontana residents is $60 and will begin on August 1st and close on September 27th. Registration for non-residents is $72 and will begin on September 1st and close on September 27th. Registration is taken on a first come first served basis at all Community Centers. Youth Roller Hockey season begins on October 1st.
