COACHELLA VALLEY WOMEN’S BUSINESS CENTER PRESENTS “HOW TO READ AND UNDERSTAND YOUR FINANCIAL STATEMENTS”
PALM DESERT, Calif. – Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, a grant-funded program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides free business counseling, free and low-cost workshops and events, and mentoring, will present, “How to Read and Understand Your Financial Statements” on July 19.
This workshop will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the CVWBC office at 77806 Flora Road, Suite A, just off the 10 freeway in Palm Desert. The cost for the workshop is $15 with online registration; $20 at the door.
Financial statements are among the most important documents maintained for a business, but they are useless if not understood. In this workshop, participants will learn to avoid costly mistakes and make better managerial decisions by better understanding their financial statements.
Facilitator Sonia Baltazar is a recent CSUSB graduate with a BA in Accounting, who began working at CVWBC as a student intern, later becoming an administrative assistant. In her tenure with the center, she managed the “It’s Your Time: An Entrepreneurial Training Program for Women”, creating the largest graduating class of women ever for that program from CVWBC.
