– “A Night at the Speakeasy” Will be Held at the San Bernardino Fox Theatre –
SAN BERNARDINO, CA – The San Bernardino City Library Foundation will be hosting its second annual Springtime Soiree on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the downtown San Bernardino Fox Theatre. The theme of this year’s celebration and fundraiser is “A Night at the Speakeasy”. The fundraiser includes a grand prize drawing for a $4,000 Dream Vacation and benefits the Foundation’s “Our Ever Changing World” campaign.
The Prohibition-era party will feature food catered from master chef Joe Talamontes of the National Orange Show, as well as beer and wine, live music, dancing, a casino, raffle prizes and an auction. The event begins at 5:30PM. A prize for best in Prohibition-era costume will be awarded, and the Enchanted Attic costume rental shop in San Bernardino is giving everyone who mentions the Library a $10 discount.
The Foundation Directors encourage the community to take part in this annual benefit. “Don’t miss this opportunity to have a great time, support the Library’s ongoing efforts–and you may very well win your very own Dream Vacation,” says Foundation Director and Vice President, Community Relations, Vicki Lee. The winning ticket for the grand prize $4,000 Dream Vacation will be drawn that evening–with or without the winner being present.
Price of admission is $50 per person or $70 per person for admission plus a grand prize drawing ticket. The final day to purchase event tickets is Friday, April 27th. Grand prize drawing tickets can be bought separately ($25 each or at 5 for $100) until May 3, 2012.
