RP&B CPAs Announces Michael Kouyoumdjian as Managing Shareholder Leadership Transition Positions Firm for Continued Growth

RIVERSIDE, CA – Roorda, Piquet & Bessee, Inc. (RP&B CPAs), a premier, full-service accounting firm located in the Inland Empire has announced that Michael Kouyoumdjian, CPA will be taking on the role of Managing Shareholder effective July 1, 2017. Founder, James Roorda will move to an emeritus role, supporting firm leadership, working with select clients and taking on special projects.

Supporting clients since 1985, the firm has developed expertise in the construction, transportation, manufacturing and distribution industries, as well as a deep specialty in Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) as an ownership succession vehicle.  RP&B CPAs was recently awarded Inavero’s Best of Accounting™ Award for providing superior best-in-class service to its clients. “We are proud of our continued ability to grow organically.  While other accounting firms are merging and consolidating, we are moving forward with a planned leadership transition that will continue to build on our strengths” commented Mr. Kouyoumdjian.

As RP&B CPAs transitions to new leadership, the firm will continue to build upon its strong foundation with solid leadership. Richard Piquet, CPA  continues to lead the Tax and Compliance Team; Robert Bessee, CPA manages the Audit Practice; and, Marcus Piquet, CPA leads the ESOP and Ownership Succession Consulting Practice for the firm. “We have worked hard at setting the bar high and integrating best practices with our technical skills. Our team is strong and we are excited about our future as we continue to position the firm for growth” Mr. Kouyoumdjian concluded.

Mr. Kouyoumdjian joined the firm in 2005 and was admitted Shareholder in 2011.  He is native to Southern California and graduated from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Business Degree with emphasis in Accounting and a minor in International Marketing. Mr. Kouyoumdjian is married with two children.

Actively involved in the professional and local community, RP&B CPAs recently announced that Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire has been chosen as the firm’s designated charity for 2017. RP&B CPAs will be hosting several fundraising events throughout the balance of the year.
