$500,000 in United Way Grants Approved for Inland Empire Nonprofits!
Inland Empire United Way – We are thrilled to announce that for 2011-2012 we will be able to increase the amount of funding allocated to Community Impact Grants – providing over $500,000 in direct support to strong Inland Empire programs focused on the areas of Education, Health and Financial Stability!
A vital part of our mission is partnering with other results-oriented nonprofits in the region that are equally dedicated to our priority areas. Each year, we collect grant applications from qualified agencies for programs aimed at improving the lives and futures of low-income children and families in our community.
It was a very difficult process for our volunteer review team as they conducted a diligent review and analysis of 58 funding applications and ultimately selected 41 projects that they felt were the best investment of United Way’s dollars.
