Agency Takes Part in Annual Blood Drive to Save Lives
Riverside, CA – June 8, 2011 –Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management partnered with LifeStream and country western radio station K-FROG in support of the 12th Annual
K-FROG Cares/Leap for Life Blood Drive, which was held June 1-5 at donor locations throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties, including Springboard’s Riverside headquarters. This is the second consecutive year that Springboard has participated in the blood drive, which helps with the more than 500 donations of lifesaving blood that are needed each day to meet emergency and ongoing patient needs in Southern California.
“Springboard is dedicated to the community and is ever mindful of the families we serve,” said Melinda Opperman, Springboard’s senior vice president of community outreach and industry relations. “Springboard’s participation is another example of the agency’s frequent collaboration with other local nonprofit organizations and community stakeholders to bring important information, resources and activities to the community,” said Opperman.
Springboard employees donated 76 pints of blood in support of this year’s event. The agency’s participation was coordinated by Springboard’s S.E.R.V.I.C.E. team members. S.E.R.V.I.C.E. stands for (S)pringboard (E)mployees (R)ecognize (V)olunteerism (I)n our (C)ommunity & (E)nvironment. During the holiday season, the S.E.R.V.I.C.E. team has coordinated the delivery of Thanksgiving baskets and super-sized gift stockings to disadvantaged children and families residing in communities throughout the Inland Empire.
