Aging Women Are Talking about PDO Threadlifts
Aging Women Are Talking about PDO Threadlifts
In the past, a face lift involved surgery and became negatively associated with undesirable side effects such as infections, swelling, skin injury, fibrosis, fluid retention, hematomas and scarring; just to name a few.
Today, thread lift procedures such as the PDO Thread Lift, have radically improved and with that, their popularity. Most thread lifting procedures today are virtually painless, effective, and can be performed using topical anesthesia. PDO Thread Lifts offer a non-invasive, non-surgical alternative to other surgical and more complex procedures with similar results. (See recent study on thread-lifting technique)
So what is PDO Thread Lift anyway?
The PDO Thread Lift, will lift and tighten sagging skin tissue, using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO). Polydioxanone sutures are a sterile, colorless, biodegradable, monofilament synthetic composed polymer. The threads are introduced into the deep layers of the skin producing instant skin lifting, and cellular renewal through the production of collagen.
Your skin cells are stimulated to produce new collagen, and new blood vessels to improve skin micro-circulation. At the same time, the PDO threads cause the fat tissue to contract, producing a skin tightening and facial slimming effect. After the administration of topical anesthetic, the PDO threads are inserted via sharp or blunt tip needles into the different layers of the skin. Once inserted, the threads anchor the skin providing excellent knot security and lift it upwards producing an immediate lift of the
facial contours without undergoing an invasive facelift surgery.
Depending on the areas treated, the procedure takes up to 60 minutes, and lasts up to 18 months. There is some discomfort during the procedure but it is substantially reduced by the application of the topical anesthetic.
The PDO thread lift is very versatile, allowing practically all areas of the face to be treated, especially the jowls and neck. But, this effective, non-surgical procedure can benefit almost any part of the face. At RJ Clinical Institute, we will take the time to determine if a PDO Thread Lift is the best procedure for you to acquire the results you desire. Dr. Richard Jin and his team of experts will guide and give you all of the
necessary information needed to help you feel at ease.
