Palm Desert, CA – Massage Envy, the leader in professional massage and skin care, with franchised locations in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and La Quinta, is participating in the Toys for Tots initiative hosted by the Marine Unit in Twentynine Palms, California.  The three franchised locations are collecting toys for needy children through December 9, 2018.

The Palm Springs, Palm Desert and La Quinta Massage Envy franchised locations support various community charities and organizations.  “We have a responsibility to be good citizens of our community and are always looking to support causes and events that are important to our employees.” commented Holly Lassak, franchise owner of the Massage Envy locations in the Coachella Valley.  From hosting a valley-wide blood drive to supporting the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership, Massage Envy of the Desert actively participates within the valley communities.  “Our team members in Palm Springs suggested that we get involved with Toys for Tots this year.  After all, we live and work in the Coachella Valley.  What better way to celebrate the holidays than to give to children?” she concluded. All three Massage Envy franchised locations in the Coachella Valley are participating.

Toys for Tots began in 1947 when Major Bill Hendricks, USMC, and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children.  This led to the Marine Corps adopting Toys for Tots in 1948 and expanding it into a nationwide campaign.

Donations of toys can be dropped off at any Massage Envy franchised location through December 9, 2018: Palm Springs is located at 5220 E. Ramon at Gene Autry, Palm Desert is located at 73111 Country Club next to Bristol Farms, and La Quinta is located at 79485 Highway 111 at Dune Palms.
