WHAT: Who is hiring in the High Desert? Where are the job opportunities and how do job seekers find them? What services are available to employers to hire the right people to grow their business? These questions and more will be answered. The San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board provides no-cost services to employers including hiring support, training dollars, customized training as well as assistance and resources to job seekers.
WHO: Kathleen Oles, former Deputy Director and Mike Holtz, business resource team member of the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board will give the presentation. The Apple Valley Lion’s Club will host the event.

About the Workforce Investment Board of San Bernardino County
The Workforce Investment Board of San Bernardino County is comprised of private business representatives and public partners appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. The Board strives to strengthen the skills of the Countys workforce through partnerships with business, education and community-based organizations.
The Workforce Investment Board, through the Countys Economic Development Agency and Workforce Development Department, operates the countys Employment Resource Centers (ERCs) and Business Resource Centers (BRCs). The ERCs provide individuals with job training, placement and the tools to strengthen their skills to achieve a higher quality of life. The BRCs support and provide services to the Countys businesses including employee recruitment.
