Archival Workshop, 3-D Artifact Care
If you are a member of an historical society, or if you work with a history collection at a library or small museum, join Curator of History Michele on Monday, May 9 at 9am for an archival workshop, “3-D Artifact Care.” This three-hour workshop is free, but reservations are required by Friday, May 6 due to limited space.
Participants will learn how to handle, store, exhibit, and care for three-dimensional objects in their collections. “We will look at the equipment you will need, and practice some of the techniques you can use with your collections to help preserve them for the future,” said Nielsen. “A reading list, supply resources, and general information hand-outs will be provided.”
The workshop will be from 9am to noon. For more information or to make reservation, contact Michele Nielsen at (909) 307-2669 ext. 240 or mnielsen@sbcm.sbcounty.gov.
