Brotherhood Mutual Names The Cutler Group of Redlands “Five-Star Agency of the Year” for 2010
Redlands, California – Brotherhood Mutual awards The Cutler Group (a.k.a. Cutler Church Insurance Services) with the company’s prestigious “Five-Star Agency of the Year” award for 2010. This is the first year that the Redlands, California, firm has earned the company’s top agency honor. The Cutler Group has represented Brotherhood Mutual since 2005. Tom Cutler is the agency’s principal.
Five-Star Agency of the Year honors go to the agency that has made the greatest overall contribution to Brotherhood Mutual’s profitability and growth over the past three calendar years. During that time, the top 15 Five-Star agencies have contributed $12,808,648 million in direct gains to the company’s surplus.
Also being honored by the firm is Charlie Cutler, who is being recognized as Brotherhood Mutual’s 2010 Agent of the Year. During 2010, Charlie produced $796,278 in new written premiums. Charlie has represented Brotherhood Mutual since 2005. This is the first year in at least five that the company’s Agent of the Year hails from the Five-Star Agency of the Year.
Three key elements play a role in identifying the top Five-Star agency: written premium gain, direct gain to surplus, and stop-loss gain to surplus. Each of these factors is evaluated over a three-year period, and a weighted formula is applied to determine the year’s top Five-Star agency.
