Riverside, CA – Come join us in a discussion about current trends in new employee orientations. We will review the challenges in dealing with employee behavior, and the key ingredients for a memorable new employee orientation. What is the WOW factor? How can leaders/presenters make a difference for new employees? The “I D.A.R.E. you to be different” will be shared.
- Assist participants in understanding effective methods
- Analyze current practices
- Evaluate how to utilize teammates assigned to participate as speakers.
- Understand the mindset of those attending new employee orientation for the first time.
- Identify strategies for dealing with challenging behavior.
Our presenter will be Melinda Sewer Muganzo, TEdxRiverside speaker, motivational speaker, leadership trainer, coach and educator. Melinda received a Bachelor of Science degree in Office Administration from Oakwood College in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Metro University in 1992. Additionally, she received a certificate in Executive Management from Claremont Graduate University. She is an Instructor at UEI College in Riverside for the Business Office Administration program. She is an Affiliate Leadership Instructor for Flex Ed, a comprehensive healthcare education company. Recently, she served as Faculty at Everest College teaching courses in Business. She spent 15 years working for Loma Linda University Medical Center in the Human Resource Management department in major leadership roles.

The Inland Empire Society for Human Resource Management Chapter was established as a 100% SHRM affiliate chapter in 2004 to meet the needs of Human Resources professionals in the Inland Empire area.
