Upland To Host Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27th
UPLAND TO HOST MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY ON MAY 27, 2019
UPLAND, Calif. – Honoring those who have fallen during service to the United State of America, a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony will be held at the Upland Veterans’ Monument Plaza at 10 a.m.
Monday, May 27.
The event will include Memorial Day reflections, comments by Upland officials and a ceremonial 21-gun salute.
The Upland Veterans’ Monument Plaza has been the site of Upland’s annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies since it was constructed 2015. Along with the centerpiece saluting all branches of the military, separate monuments around the plaza honor those who served in the military and active service members.
Tiles for display on the Upland Veterans’ Monument remain available for the public to purchase. Names of military service personnel, their military branch, rank and other relevant information can be engraved on the tiles that appear on pillars at the east entrance to the plaza. Residency or other affiliations to Upland are not required. To reserve a tile, visit www.uvmp.org.
The Upland Veterans’ Plaza is located at 460 N. Euclid Ave. between Upland City Hall and the Upland Public Library.
