Fall Family Fun at the County Museum on October 5th
Bring the whole family for a Fall Into Fun together-day at the San Bernardino County Museum on Saturday, October 5 from noon to 4 p.m. Activities centered around butterflies and other incredible insects are included with paid museum admission, and no reservations are necessary. The program is suitable for all ages.
“This is the first of a series of Fall Into Fun together-days for families,” said Jolene Redvale, the museum’s curator of education. “We’ll have art making, story time, and animal encounters. We’ll play with history, and of course there will be some surprising stuff, too.”
Also scheduled in the series are “Birds of a Feather” on October 12 and “California Indian Toys and Tools” on October 19. Coming November 9 is a day for the dogs: “Do Canids Have Canines?”
Visitors can also help support education programs at the museum with the purchase of a reusable, durable, decorate-it-yourself canvas bag. The bags can be purchased at the Museum Store for $5 and customized with drawings, color, and stencils at education division activity tables.
The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 am to 5pm. General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under five and Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free.
