The City of Fontana invites you to participate in the 2012 Senior Health and Resource Fair

Fontana, California, June 20, 2012. The Mayor and the City Council invite you to attend this year’s FREE Senior Health and Resource Fair! The Annual Senior Health and Resource Fair will be held on Wednesday, June 27th from 10am-2pm at the Fontana Community Senior Center, 16710 Ceres Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335. This year’s theme is “Taking Steps Towards a Healthier Lifestyle”.
“We are so excited about this year’s event and the caliber of vendors that we have attending this year” says Tiffany Starks, Community Services Coordinator at the Fontana Community Senior center. “We asked all of our vendors to think outside the box in terms of providing the community with something fresh, new and interactive. They have stepped up to the challenge this year.”
The 2012 Senior Health and Resource Fair is a free event, open to the public and will provide health screenings such as stroke risk assessments, blood pressure, cholesterol screenings (participants must fast for 12 hours prior to test), glucose screenings, fitness assessments and body fat assessments. Information on legal services, health care plans, medical equipment and much more will also be available.
