Learn Private Sector Grant Development Skills
Public funding agencies aren’t the only organizations that award grants. Plenty of private corporations and foundations do too. The College of Extended Learning at Cal State University, San Bernardino offers “Grant Development in the Private Sector” for current grant writers and those who want to entire the field. The workshop is one of eight that make up the College of Extended Learning’s popular Certificate in Grant Development and Management. Topics to be covered in the “Grant Development in the Private Sector” workshop include fundamental concepts of researching and preparing proposals to private corporations and foundations. Learn how to research funding opportunities on the Web, determine corporation/foundation funding priorities and create your agency profile. In class, participants will draft a proposal letter to an agency, which will be evaluated by the instructor and other students.
The workshop is $140 per person (including class materials) and will be held on Sat., April 30, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino’s Yasuda Center. Enrollment is limited to ensure hands-on instruction.
