Sierra Hull – A Rising Star to Perform at Jubilee
Dolly Parton notes, “I can’t say enough about Sierra Hull. Sierra is truly a beautiful and talented gift to this world, so special and unique. ‘Daybreak’ is awakening”.
Following the March release of her newest album, “Daybreak”, Sierra Hull will be featured at Huck Finn’s 35th Jubilee, Saturday and on Father’s Day, June 18 and 19 in Victorville, California.
Her debut album “Secrets” was released at age 16 and became the most requested on Sirius XM Radio’s “Bluegrass Junction.”
Her second and newest album, “Daybreak” is certainly a noteworthy arrival in the centennial of Bill Monroe’s birth, the father of a new music genre. Sierra has already earned considerable respect in the Bluegrass world, when members of The International Bluegrass Music Association nominated her for five awards over three years. Singer, songwriter and performer with remarkable range, she has the potential to win over ears unfamiliar with Bill Monroe and give performances of broad cultural importance, as she’s done at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the National Prayer Breakfast.
Her video, “Easy Come, Easy Go” shows her appeal in the Country community as well, ranking #2 on “Today’s Top Videos” at CMT.com during the first week of release.
Sierra performs with her band Highway 111 which includes Hesperia resident, Christian Ward on fiddle on Saturday, June 18 at 3:20 p.m. and 7:50 p.m., and again on Father’s Day, June 19 at 11:10 a. and 3:40 p.m. For complete schedule of music go to www.huckfinn.com/sched.asp
The Huck Finn Jubilee is held each year on Father’s Day weekend, at Mojave Narrows Regional Park, 18000 Yates Road, Victorville.
