Corona: Meraki Salon To Donate to the CSUSB’s Obershaw Den
Meraki Salon GIV Product Line Will Donate December Profits to the Obershaw Den
Corona, Calif. – Meraki Salon will be donating 5 percent of the profits for the month of December from the exclusive product line, Giv, to the Obershaw Den, a local student food bank located at California State University, San Bernardino.
The donation from the revenue that will be generated from Giv will increase from 2 percent to 5 percent for the month of December to support students facing housing or food insecurity.
Meraki Salon, has created a line of hair products that are locally sourced, vegan, paraben, sulfate, and cruelty-free.
“The reason we created Giv is we wanted to create something that also gave back to the community” said Kate Sparks co-owner of Meraki Salon and co-creator of The Giv product line with Dao Nguyen.
The collection donates 2 percent of its proceeds monthly to an Inland Empire charity or nonprofit of the salon’s choosing. The Giv product line includes six different products for women and three different products for men.
Meraki Salon created this initiative in 2017 to give back to local areas. Since then, they have raised $2,110 overall for three nonprofits varying in services.
