Frontier Airlines Adds Cross-Country Service from Ontario International Airport
New service to San Antonio and Washington Dulles begins in October
Ontario, Calif. – Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday it will add four flights a week from Ontario International Airport (ONT) to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) with same-plane continuing service to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The new flights begin in October and in combination with previously announced service will enable ONT passengers to reach the nation’s capital without changing planes seven days a week.Just last month, Frontier, known for its low fares done right and Rocky Mountain hospitality, announced air service from ONT to its Denver base and Austin beginning in October, and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in Spring 2018, the largest commitment of new air service at ONT in more than a decade. Flights from ONT to Austin continue on to Washington Dulles, without a change of planes for through passengers.
This brings the Frontier’s total number of cities served from Ontario International Airport to five, with 13 additional destinations available via connections through Denver. To celebrate this announcement, Frontier is offering low fares on both nonstop and connecting flights with fares as low as $49* and available only at FlyFrontier.com.
“Ontario is Frontier country! We are pleased to expand our service from Ontario and the Inland Empire with coast to coast low fare flights and access to 18 destinations,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, commercial for Frontier Airlines. “The new flights further supports our mission of delivering low fares nationwide, now available to more than 90 percent of America.”
“We knew Frontier would find a happy home at Ontario,” said Alan D. Wapner, president of the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA). “That the airline is already adding more service from Ontario is a testament to how warmly the Inland Empire has welcomed our newest airline partner and the airline’s high level of confidence in our Southern California gateway.”
Frontier will operate the San Antonio-Washington thru-service every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with Airbus A320 aircraft. The addition of San Antonio and Washington, DC, brings to 19 the number of nonstop destinations available from ONT.
To celebrate these new flights, Frontier is giving one lucky passenger the chance to win five round trip flights. That’s enough to fly to each city Frontier flies to from Ontario. Enter at http://bit.ly/ONTcontest.
