Get Ready to Connect, Unite and Transform at the 2017 National Innovative Communities Conference
Join Reach Out and Partners for Innovative Communities (PIC) for their the 8th Annual National Innovative Communities Conference, Tuesday and Wednesday May 23rd and 24th at Ontario Convention Center 2000 E. Convention Center Way, Ontario, CA 91764.
This FREE event is themed “Connect Unite Transform”, and the conference aims at just doing that. Reach Out and PIC believe that everyone in the community is connected and that by uniting we can transform our neighborhoods, cities, states and nation. Be a part of this unique conference and hear from influential keynote speakers, community leaders and experts. This year our opening plenary will be a fun, unique, first ever cross county presentation of the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties’ Community Health Improvement Plan. We will be joined by a panel of top leaders in both counties, with keynotes from Trudy Raymundo, Director of San Bernardino County’s Department of Public Health and Sarah Mack, Director of Riverside University Health System-Public Health. Joining this panel will also be Tracy Delaney, Ph.D., R.D., and founding director of the Public Health Alliance of Southern California.
There will also be breakout sessions in the form of panels, interactive workshops and trainings. Topics include but are definitely not limited to: Healthy Communities Initiatives, Community Engagement, Environmental Change and Design, Drug and Alcohol Prevention, Policy Implementation, Leadership Development, Alternatives to Juvenile Justice Involvement, Law Enforcement Outreach, and Social Equity.
