Rancho Cucamonga Approves Preschool Project
2-Story Early Childhood Education Building to be Built in Rancho Cucamonga
Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The meandering tree-lined street of Victoria Park Lane will soon feature a 2-story farm-house style early childhood education building. In a 5-0 vote last week, the Rancho Cucamonga Planning Commission approved the development of the 10,763 square foot building, located in the shopping center at the corner of Baseline Road and Victoria Park Lane. The facility will feature a nature yard with a garden, fruit trees, meandering walkways, and a variety of plants to provide for outdoor exploration and learning. Upland-based real estate developer Moore Real Estate Group is overseeing the project.
“The quaint neighborhood and tall trees along Victoria Park Lane create a perfect setting for this charming preschool.” said CEO Jennifer Moore. “This preschool will serve the growing demand from young families in the Rancho Cucamonga area who are looking for an inspiring educational environment for their children”.
The developer is focused on building spaces that spur creativity and imagination for little ones. The perspective of a small child, and how he or she would experience the environment, was considered in the design of the property.
“Instead of flattening all the hills, we left some slopes. We made winding paths. We included in a variety of textures and ground covers and plant colors so that a walk through the yard could become an inspiring journey for a young child. The building itself has flexible spaces to accommodate a variety of enrichment activities that range from cooking class, to STEM and maker activities, to music and dramatic performances”.
With a capacity of 160 students, the facility will feature a full kitchen and 8 classrooms for ages 6 months to 5 years. The childcare facility, leased to Kiddie Academy of Rancho Cucamonga, is projected to open by Fall 2019.
