The 25th Congressional District of California includes the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys, portions of San Bernardino County and all of the Inyo and Mono Counties. Rep McKeon’s district is rich with history, full of well-known landmarks, and offers a wide range of activities for all ages.

In the nation’s capital, Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon has been a champion of easing the national debt, providing tax relief, preserving Social Security, reforming education, and supporting the troops and a strong national defense while serving the people of California’s 25th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Before coming to Congress in 1992, McKeon served on the William S. Hart Union High School District Board of Trustees from 1978 to 1987.  During that time, the city of Santa Clarita was incorporated and its citizens selected McKeon as a member of the City Council.

It was during the council’s first meeting that its members selected McKeon as Santa Clarita’s first mayor.  During his tenure on the City Council, Santa Clarita expanded its sheriff’s and parks programs and earned a reputation as one of the safest cities in America.

The 25th district includes the northern end of San Bernardino County.
