Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Hit a Home Run for the Arts!
Rancho Cucamonga, Ca – The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Baseball team scored points with the Rancho Cucamonga Community & Arts Foundation (RCCAAF) on Saturday, September 1st when they presented the non-profit organization with a check in the amount of $6,895.00, as part of their “LoanMart Strikeouts for the Community.” This season marks the sixth year that the Quakes and LoanMart have partnered on this charitable effort to support the Rancho Cucamonga Community & Arts Foundation. A donation of $5 is set aside for every strikeout scored throughout the Quakes Baseball season and the accumulative total is presented to the RCCAAF.
Presenting the check on the LoanMart Field was Grant Riddle, General Manager, Shaun Orr, LoanMart Representative, Parker Curry, Quakes player and Manager, Drew Saylor. Representing the Foundation were board members Tina Chen, Mark Rivera, Jim Harrington and Rosemarie Brown, along with Executive Director, Susan Sluka Kelly.
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes continue to be a strong supporter of the Community & Arts Foundation and have donated over $60,000 to the Foundation to support their mission of fostering and furthering the arts at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center and other efforts that benefit the Rancho Cucamonga community.
“Grant Riddle, the General Manager of the RC Quakes, has been an outstanding community partner for the RC Community & Arts Foundation. Through the Quake’s generosity, we have an annual fundraiser where 100% of the attendance proceeds goes directly to the Foundation along with the LoanMart Strikeout proceeds,” said Board Member, Jim Harrington, who has organized a skybox party each year at the check presentation game. At the check presentation game, the skybox use is provided to the Foundation, where additional donations are collected. Overall the evening event garnered the charity $8,545.
The RCCAAF generates approximately $200,000 annually through donors, grants and fundraisers to support a variety of initiatives including arts education in schools, affordable access to the arts, promotion & advocacy for the arts, and inspiring advancement of arts in the community.
