February 19, 2013, Colton, CA — Don Brithinee, Vice-President of Brithinee Electric, announced today that the company was recognized with the E=mc2 Award for Effectiveness – Most Innovative in Marketing, at the Inland Empire Manufacturers’ Summit event held Friday, February 8th, at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario.
The entry described how innovations in electric motor winding testing and investigation have created a marketing differentiator by creating motor rewinds with zero dielectric failure rates.
Damage from high peak voltages and fast voltage rise-time, stemming from the use of variable-frequency drives (VFDs), can occur to electric motors and generators with “random windings” through a phenomenon called “partial discharge.”
The innovation in testing, to measure the effectiveness of materials and procedures not previously employed in the repair and motor remanufacturing industry, supports Brithinee Electric’s position as a leader in re-manufacturing motors for use with variable speed drives. The investigation then yields improvements in the final product. Technical marketing materials are then designed to influence decision-makers, from purchasing agents to maintenance managers, and engineering.
Xin (Crystal) Xue, Ph.D., of Brithinee Electric, and Molly Burgess, President of RedFusion Media, accepted the award.
The Manufacturers’ Summit, attended by over 400 manufacturing and industry specialists featured Keynote Speaker, Dr. Robert C. Fry, Jr., Senior Economist for DuPont Company.
Brithinee Electric specializes in remanufacturing industrial electric motors and wind generators and produces custom motor control centers for clients throughout the western United States. These motors are the highest electrical efficiency motors available today. Brithinee Electric motor repairs maintain or exceed the original motor’s power efficiency. Their newly expanded 53,000 square feet facility enables the company to repair motors and generators up to 20 tons.
