Regional First Responder Day Event In Rancho Cucamonga
Day of Recognition and Family Activities Set for Sept. 22, 2018
Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council and State Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) invite the community for a day of recognition and free activities at the second annual California First Responder Day, hosted at LoanMart Field, home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes Minor League Baseball team.
Kids and families will have a chance to explore emergency vehicles and take part in safety demonstrations while meeting first responders from CAL FIRE, the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire and OES, Search and Rescue, and others. There will also be food vendors as well as special visits by Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog.
“Our state’s first responders take it upon themselves to protect our communities and come to the rescue when help is most needed,” said Senator Morrell. “First Responder Day is an opportunity to thank these men and women and also learn more about the work they do. I invite everyone to join with us and the Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council on September 22 for this special event.”
First Responder Day was designated through the Senate’s passage of Senate Resolution 75, authored by Senator Morrell.
